A whole new world....

Image
It has been awhile since my last blog for a couple of reasons...A) I couldnt think of anything to yap about and B) the baby leaves me very little time for such things!  But.... there has been some big changes and wanted to share! I found a new job working at another veterinary clinic here in Dayton.  It is a lot of fun being a receptionist.  I actually like dealing with the public (most days) and can usually laugh it off when they are severely on my nerves!  It has been very hectic dealing with work, school, homelife, cleaning and of course baby!  Besides being deprived of sleep, I actually thrive on being super busy.  I love being super woman and showing myself what I am capable of.  Now back to talking about my baby! I could talk about him all day long but I am sure nobody wants to hear about it!  I get tired of others talking about their babies because then I cant talk about mine! lol  But he is getting so big!  He grabs toys all by himself, just loves looking around at the

Preparing for vacation with a new baby

I am sure to have many more posts regarding this vacation trip but I wanted to share what Ive found so far!  We are going to the beach in a couple months and I am soo excited to get to bring my little man.  He will only be 4 months old so I want to make sure he stays happy and healthy in the sun.  I have been specifically searching for shade tents for the beach and UV protective clothing.  Much harder than it sounds!  The UV protective clothing I have found starts in sizes 6 months, but they only have 12 months in stock.  I think 12 months will be fine but my hubby disagrees.  I figure I want it to run a little big since it will be wet and stick to his skin.  And have you ever seen a 12 month t-shirt???  They seem pretty teeny to me!  I would upload pics but the images must not be public because they wont show up...but the sites I have been searching are http://www.coolibar.com/ and http://www.onestepahead.com/ Both have a lot of UV protective clothing and sunshades!

Extreme couponer....in training

I have been sucked into the whole extreme couponing fad.  So now I am beginning my adventure attemping to duplicate these insane savings.  I have no intention of even going near food.  I waste the small amounts that I buy now and I have no extra space to put any excess food.  So I am starting with things I do use in excess, which is toothpaste, hand soap, dishsoap etc....  Eventually I would also like to get into stuff for the baby such as diapers, baby food and stuff.  So my internet adventure begins...For the last 15 minutes I have typed in every combination of "toothpaste coupons" and have gotten nowhere.  I have also now signed up for a few "newsletters" that say theyre going to send me coupons...I have my doubts.  Maybe I should create a whole new email to hold all of this junk mail ; )  Hopefully I catch a break soon or this adventure may be ending before it even gets started!

My other babies

Image
So I figured since this blog was called My babie(s), I figured I should update my life with the other 6 critters that call this madhouse a home.  They are on my last nerve! First of all India will not stay out of the diaper bag.  If I leave it sitting for more than a minute she eats diapers, (clean) formula, and anything cloth she can get her hands on.  One day she ate a whole container of dry formula I had sitting in a tupperware.  Erg.  Heres a pic of that........blurry but you get the point! My Gracie will not stop barking when I sit in the living room on the floor with Andrew. So she gets a bark collar on. King has now started trying to run out the front door. Kitty is becoming more and more delusional every day.  She forgets when she eats and she is worse than a 5 year old trying to get our attention so that we will feed her....and she does this all day long sometimes. Jack has now started laying in front of the front door, making coming in or out very difficult (especia

Pool fun!

Image
So, we went out and bought one of those cheap, inflate the top ring only pools so that we could get some releif from this oppressive heat wave.  The purchase itself was not a very good one.  It sucks.  The water is too warm to get any releif but it is big enough that it isnt worthwhile to keep changing out the water.  We had to buy all of the chemicals for it because it is too big to empty but the filter is crap and doesnt clean anything out. Lol.  But what is good about the pool is that Andrew got his first water experience and much to our liking, he LOVED it!  Heres a few pics of him having fun. Well...my blog sucks and will only ever let me add one picture, unless I log out and log back in which is too much work...so heres 1 pic!

Family photos

So I have been tirelessly working to get all of the pictures from my computer printed and burned onto CD's.  Let me tell you that this is something that should be done a lot more often than every few years!  My issue is that A) there are no dates  on the back of digital photos, so I have to go through and write the date and any info I want to remember when Im old.  B) I am still too afraid to delete them from my computer because should I ever want to reprint one of the pics, I would have to redownload the entire CD to my computer and then go through all of that to print one out.  Technology Sucks!  Whatever happened to the old days where you took out your 35mm camera, took a pic (and gasp! had no idea what it looked like or who had their eyes closed), got it developed at your local store and then bam! that was all the evidence you had! If the pic got lost or ruined, oh well...at least  you had the memory....but noooo...these days I can spend days agonizing over which pics to get ri

Gracie bio

Image
Name: Gracie Nickname: Gracie retarded, pretty girl, stupid face Likes: Barking, cuddling, playing with bones and go-nut, annoying people when they come visit Dislikes: Being told no, being told no barking, being told no jumping, being alone Gracie is by far the best and worst dog on the planet.  When no one but us is around and when the neighbors dogs arent outside, she is sooo sweet and smart.  She loves being right up next to us and lays her head on our lap and just loves our company.  Her favorite pastttime is going into the bathroom and stealing empty toilet paper rolls (We usually leave these on the floor for her to "sneak" in and steal).  The other super cute thing she does is getting all of her toys in a pile and then laying down and enjoying a taste of each.  I wish others got to see this part of her, but unfortunately, when others come to visit she turns into devil dog.  She barks, refuses to listen to anyone and jumps and scratches everyone till she gets locke

Our first cold

Image
Today my little bugger has a cold :(  Last night he would not sleep no matter what I tried!  Today, he is sleeping very well so Im a little worried about what tonight will bring! I did learn that (for now!) he loves it when I put a pillow on my legs while my feet are propped up on the ottoman.  I lay him on the pillow and rock my legs back and forth or bounce them up and down.  This way he can see me but also be comfy and get rocked at the same time!  Wow, babies have it made dont they?!  For his stuffy nose, we bought Little Noses Saline Spray which was recommended by the doctor.  Poor guy did great having the drops going up his nose, even though it said give 2-6 drops and the stuff just poured out of there! He is being so cuddly though, which even though colds suck, it is very very cute :)

Work in progress

If you are someone that checks out my blog you may notice it is always changing!  I am way too much of a perfectionist to have a blog I think.  I am trying to find what kind of blog I want it to be but just cant make up my mind.  I figured that since 90% of my life is consumed with my hubby, my baby, and my 6 furbabies that I would dedicate my blog to them and our life together.  So anyways, in case youre wondering what I am doing, and why the blog is always changing, that is why! :)
